In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Penn is doing its best to keep our students, faculty, and staff safe. This means adopting “social distancing” to the greatest extent possible, and trying to avoid activities that promote congregation.

Sadly, this means the in-person and group activities that are a treasured part of academia need to be re-thought for a while. The CIS Department is moving all operations to the Internet: teaching, research, advising, support, interviews. We’ve put a lot of time and energy into planning for this, and while there will be some bumps on the road we are confident we can still give a high-quality experience for all — because it will still be our wonderful people on the other end of the connection!

Stay safe!
